Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of pokerfoundry.net and any orders you place with Poker Foundry. By placing an order or using our site, you agree to these terms.
For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For cookies, see our Cookie Policy.
Who we are
Poker Foundry is a UK-based supplier of casino-grade ceramic and clay poker chips. You can contact us at contact@pokerfoundry.net.
Our products
We sell two product types:
- Custom clay and ceramic chips - made to order with your artwork, denominations, and specifications.
- The Foundry - in-stock sterling denomination ceramic chips sold via our set builder, UK delivery only at launch.
Product descriptions, lead times, minimum quantities, and pricing shown on the site form part of these terms for the product you order.
Orders and pricing
- Quotes and Foundry checkout totals are shown before you pay. Prices are in the currency displayed at checkout or on your quote.
- A custom order becomes binding once you have paid the required amount and (for custom chips) completed label sign-off where required.
- A Foundry order becomes binding when payment is successfully completed through our checkout.
- We may refuse or cancel an order if there is an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, stock error, or if we cannot fulfil the order for operational reasons. If we cancel after payment, we will refund you.
Payment
Payment is taken via our payment provider (Stripe). Card and other methods offered at checkout are subject to Stripe's terms. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
Delivery
- Custom orders: Lead times are estimates from label sign-off. Standard and rush timelines are described on the site and in your quote confirmation.
- The Foundry: In-stock orders typically dispatch in 2โ3 working days to UK addresses. Backordered lines may take longer; we will indicate this at checkout or in order communications where applicable.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provide. Please check your delivery details carefully before paying.
Artwork and proofs (custom orders)
Custom chips are produced from artwork you supply or that we create for you. Production starts only after you give written approval of the digital proof. By approving, you confirm that design, colours, layout, denominations, and quantities are correct. We are not responsible for errors that appear in an approved proof.
Returns and cancellations
This section covers returns and cancellations for both product types.
The Foundry (In-Stock)
The Foundry chips are held in UK stock and sold as standard products (not personalised or made to your design). For these orders you have a right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Cooling-off period
You may cancel your Foundry order for any reason within 14 days of the day after you receive the goods. To cancel, email us at contact@pokerfoundry.net with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days from that notice to return the chips to us.
What you get back
If you cancel within this period and return the chips as required, we will refund the purchase price of the chips within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or of receiving clear evidence that you have sent them back, if sooner). Outbound delivery charges are not refunded.
Return shipping
For change-of-mind cancellations, you cover the cost of return shipping. Outbound delivery and return postage are both non-refundable.
Condition and inspection
Chips must be unused and returned in a condition suitable for resale. Do not play with them, mark them, or remove them from packaging beyond what is needed to inspect what you bought. We will inspect returns on arrival. If the chips have been used or their value has been reduced beyond normal inspection, we may deduct an amount from your refund that reflects that reduction in value, as permitted under UK law.
How to return
- Email contact@pokerfoundry.net within the cooling-off period with your order number and cancellation request.
- Pack the chips securely so they arrive undamaged.
- Send them back to the return address we confirm in our reply, using a tracked service at your own cost.
- Keep proof of postage until your refund is complete.
Faulty or incorrect Foundry orders
If Foundry chips arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described, contact us straight away. In those cases your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply, and you should not be left meeting return postage for a product that was our error.
Made-to-order products (custom clay & ceramic)
Every custom order placed with Poker Foundry is fully made to order. Your chips are produced specifically for you - using your artwork, your chosen denominations, and your exact specifications - and do not exist in any pre-made inventory.
Because of this, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once production has commenced. This is separate from The Foundry in-stock policy above.
Approval process
To protect both you and us, all custom orders go through a structured approval process before a single chip is produced:
- Artwork submission - You provide your design files or we produce artwork based on your brief.
- Digital proof - We send you a detailed digital proof showing exactly how your chips will look, including colours, layout, and denomination placement.
- Written approval - Production only begins once you have explicitly approved the proof in writing.
Exceptions (custom manufacturing defects)
If your custom chips arrive and there is a demonstrable manufacturing defect - meaning the chips materially differ from the approved proof due to an error on our part - we will work with you to resolve this, which may include a replacement of the affected chips at no cost to you.
This does not apply to:
- Artwork or design choices approved by you during the proofing stage
- Colour variations within normal print tolerances
- Changes of mind after production has begun
- Errors in specifications (quantities, denominations, etc.) submitted by the customer
Cancellations before production
Custom orders may be cancelled before label sign-off for a full refund. Once you have signed off your label and production has begun, cancellations are no longer possible as your chips will be in production.
Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and materials belonging to Poker Foundry remain our property. Artwork you supply remains yours; you grant us a licence to use it to fulfil your order. You confirm you have the right to use any logos, images, or text you submit.
Website use
You may use the site for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misuse checkout or quote tools, or scrape the service in a way that harms our systems or other users.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also bring claims in their local courts where required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you place an order applies to that order.
