The BB depth rule (start here)
Your opening big blind should be about 0.5–1% of each player's starting tournament points — not physical chip count. That usually means 100–200 big blinds deep at level one.

Tournament points are unitless — 25 / 100 / 500 / 1,000 on the chip face. A 10,000-point starting stack is not 10,000 physical pieces; a full home rack is typically 50–100 chips across 25s and 100s, often dealing ~11,500 points and colouring up excess 25s at the first break.

Level length: how fast should blinds rise?
Blind level length controls runtime more than any other dial.
